When copying a template, using the original template's image as a backing file for the new template should be an option. This should be allowed only if the first template has no clones, and so long as its image is a backing file the template should be locked - cloning, modifying, or deleting it should be disallowed. qq2clone should introude the concept of a meta-template (or something of that nature) and create a new table in the database to track relationships between meta-templates and their child templates
